We’re delighted to hear our trustee Jenny Crosgrove finished the New York marathon yesterday.
Jenny says she thinks it was possibly one of the slowest marathons ever recorded but it was still an incredible achievement given the number of injuries both she and her dad had trained through.
“Also I think we hadn’t quite realised just how hilly the whole course was, going down became just as painful as going up by the end!” she adds.
“Honestly I am so proud that we finished together and that I was able to do this with my dad. Seeing my family cheering us on at the half way point and again at the last painful few miles made a huge difference and really helped to push us on,” she says.
“It was incredible to run through all the different areas of New York and have the support of the crowd. There was a real party atmosphere – we are both very sore today it must be said!”
“Thank you to everyone who supported us by donating to RLT it really means a lot,” she says.
And thank you for Jenny for choosing us to run for!
