Donations
Donations to RLT go towards the costs of running the Kindwitwi Leprosy Care Centre with its associated ward, clinic and outreach. Much of these costs are taken up in paying the 22 salaries of the Tanzanian employees. Ex-patients who live in the Village receive medical, housing and living expenses where they cannot fully support themselves. Local children and adults are given financial support so that they may receive education. Self-help projects are also receiving support.
No Trustee of RLT receives remuneration except for some travel expenses.
Directors of KLCCDA only receive expenses for attending Board Meetings.
£5 will buy stationery for a child to attend secondary school.
£30 will train a traditional healer to detect early signs of leprosy.
£70 will train a zonal nurse to detect leprosy and to prevent disabilities from developing.
£100 will pay for the water-fetching costs for leprosy patients on the ward for six months.
£250 will fund one outreach trip.
£1000 will pay the running costs of the project vehicle for six months.
Overall our administrative costs were 3.14% of income in 2005 and 3.93% in 2006.
