mapThe Rufiji Leprosy Trust exists to fundraise and support the Kindwitwi Leprosy Care Centre in the Rufiji area of Tanzania. The care centre assists in:

~ Finding and treating leprosy sufferers in the Rufiji area
~ Supporting ex-leprosy patients and their families throughout the Rufiji area
~ Promoting self-sufficiency of ex-leprosy sufferers and their families

Leprosy is fast becoming the Cinderella of serious diseases – many think leprosy is no longer a problem, although the Trust knows this is not universally true. Please read on to find out more about our work, to make a donation or to catch up on the latest news.

Today is the 20th anniversary of Father Robin Lamburn’s passing. Without Father Robin, Kindwitwi would not be the place it is today and RLT would not be here. We have received some fantastic news over the past few weeks.  We are pleased to be able to announce that the BMA Charitable Purposes Subcommittee has made a £3,600 donation to the Rufiji Leprosy Trust. This money will be used to contribute towards the costs of World Leprosy Day events for the next three years…
